Waffles, tennis balls and careers advice at Anuga fair
Tasty treats, a steel belt conveyor and student tips were among the attractions that tempted visitors to the Sandvik Process Systems at this year's Anuga FoodTec fair, a major international exhibition focused on the latest advances in food manufacturing equipment.
Held in Cologne in March, the fair provided the opportunity to highlight the company's expertise across the food processing environment. An eye-catching steel belt conveyor system – shown transporting tennis balls – provided the focal point of an attractive and open stand, and this was supported by informational graphics and the expertise of sales staff.
For many visitors though, the most immediate appeal was the offer of warm, tasty waffles, cooked fresh – using specially-designed SPS waffle irons – throughout all four days of the show.
On the final day of the fair, Sandvik Country Manager for Germany Manfred Herder gave a highly professional presentation on Sandvik in general, with specific focus on the many career opportunities that exist across our company. Such was Mr Herder's enthusiasm that one firm application was received immediately after his speech and more positive feedback followed soon afterwards.
