Belt for wood-based panel production

Sandvik has a long history and a well-established reputation as a supplier of high-quality steel belts for the production of particle board, MDF, OSB and coated boards. The double-belt process technology - developed in collaboration with our OEM customers and now the industry standard - is just one of our contributions to the wood-based panel market

Steel grades

Sandvik offers four main steel grades for wood-based panel production - two carbon grades, used for single-opening presses and two stainless steel grades, used on double-belt presses.

Sandvik 1300C and Sandvik 1320C carbon steel

Sandvik 1300C steel belt grade is a hardened and tempered carbon steel. Sandvik 1320C is a dual phase carbon steel, which offers the benefit of welding without further heat treatment.

Sandvik 1500SM and Sandvik 1650SM stainless steel

Sandvik 1500SM and Sandvik 1650SM are made from low carbon, martensitic, precipitation hardened stainless steel.
